So this is interesting. You just come back from the supermarket and you were going to finally study for that test tommorrow that counts for most of your grade. You open the door and WOAH!!!! your textbook, or whatever remains of your textbook , is ripped to shreds creating a plush carpet that your dog fell asleep on. I have had this happen to my homework, study guides and recipes. But there is a different topic I want to discuss.
See that picture on the left? Yeah, that my friend is a puppy mill. Those dogs dont look comfortable , do they?.Most places like petco, shake- a- paw and other stores get there dogs from puppy mills. What's the difference? Well, in the puppy mills they kill them after a certain time, they overcrowd them, inbreed them many MANY times causing the dogs to have an abusive short life with many problems. If you are going to get a dog and your going to get it at a puppy mill , you're supporting this cruelty to go on.
The picture on the left has a different story.Shelters pick up stray dogs or dogs that people have to part with. They dont create them, they save them. But the thing is ,it's that a lot of people just dump there sweet dogs rather then giving them the proper home they deserve .They are just like "Oh let the shelter deal with this. Not my problem" Dont do that.If I see anyone do that, expect me to go running at them chasing them with a hammer.Save yourself from the hammer. Too many people are dumping dogs that sadly, the shelter can't keep them all.Sooner or later if no one adopts the dog they have to put it to sleep. Though many people reallly want to help dogs they dont know where shelters are. Here is a bit of help. http://www.adoptapet.com/dog-adoption is a good one. No matter where you live they can find some dogs that arent in puppy mills near you. There is a heartfelt dog waiting for you somewhere.
Even Google Maps can help you. The home depot store that i go to actually has a shelter behind it.I found out three days before christmas. It was lightly snowing and we ran across it.We got out of our car and went to look at the dogs.I remeber one dog that was there the most.Charlie.A spaniel of some sort and he would have been very beautiful if his fur wasnt dirt streaked. But what i hated the most is that he saw us and didn't know whether to cry and run or bark and wag his tail.It tore my heart apart. Please try to save these animals.WE caused the mess with our human hands. But we can start preventing it with our human hands also.
